Rinku Singh’s impressive batting display helped Uttar Pradesh secure a crucial 5-run lead over Tamil Nadu. He smashed 17 fours and six sixes during his remarkable innings.
Playing at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science Ground in Coimbatore, Rinku Singh began his innings with a score of 98*. He went on to score his 9th first-class century, showcasing his skill and determination. Rinku Singh’s partnership with Shivam Sharma (22) yielded 53 runs, followed by a 59-run stand with Kartik Yadav (20), enabling Uttar Pradesh to take the lead. When Rinku Singh got out, Uttar Pradesh was just 12 runs away from taking the lead. Aaqib Khan (14*) and Kunal Tyagi (5) contributed to Uttar Pradesh’s total score of 460, securing a 5-run lead over Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu, who batted first, were bowled out for 455 runs. In response, Uttar Pradesh scored 460 runs, taking a 5-run lead. Tamil Nadu ended the fourth day at 103/2 in their second innings. The match eventually ended in a draw.
