Lucknow : Amidst the ongoing flood-like situation across Uttar Pradesh, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of prolonged wet weather conditions that are likely to persist until July 15. Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning may occur in more than 40 districts, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Gorakhpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Agra, and nearby areas.
In response to these forecasts, the Met Department has issued an orange alert for the entire state on July 13-14. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain around 33°C and 27°C, respectively.
Meanwhile, tragic reports continue to emerge as heavy showers persistently soak parts of Uttar Pradesh. Officials have confirmed the unfortunate death of a 52-year-old woman, Sarla Devi, due to a rain-related incident. She lost her life when the roof of her home collapsed in the Kota village of Saharanpur’s Nagla area.
