Shahid Kapoor’s Deva is all set to hit the screens this Friday. Ahead of the release, the film has undergone the scrutiny of the Censor Board. The film which features the actor in a brand new avatar of a cop has now received a U/A certificate from the Board. Additionally, the makers of the film have also been asked to trim down a kissing scene between the lead pair from the film. The Censor Board has also demanded that the makers make some other changes and modifications as well, which include foul language and some gestures.

Given that the film has now reportedly passed by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate, the film releasing on January 31, gets a green signal of being suitable to be viewed by all age groups.

Besides, the makers have also been asked to modify “foul gestures” and offensive words used in the film with more favourable alternatives. In addition to this, the CBFC also asked the makers to explain the reference to the iconic Hutatma Chowk, a landmark in Mumbai’s Fort area, used in the film.

The trailer of Deva was released a few days ago and it impressed the audience. The audience found Shahid’s never-seen-before cop avatar quite promising, thus increasing the hype and anticipation around the film. Shahid plays an angry, young cop in the film, who is seen doing some intense action sequences, while Pooja plays an investigative reporter.
