Dhruv Jurel’s remarkable century stood out as the main feature of yet another rain-affected day in Lucknow, with the first unofficial Test between India A and Australia A moving towards a draw after the hosts made a commendable recovery.

Now on 133, Jurel keeps breaking over the fence on a regular basis. Australia A declared their first innings at 532 for six, thanks to centuries from Sam Constas (109) and Josh Philippe (123 not out). With just one day remaining, the match appears headed for a draw.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten 113 helped India A reach 403 for four on the third day of the first unofficial Test against Australia A on Thursday. Jurel hit 10 fours and four sixes in his 132-ball innings. Narayan Jagadeesan (64), Sai Sudharsan (73) and Devdutt Padikkal (86 not out) made half-centuries, but captain Shreyas Iyer managed just eight runs.

Australia A declared their first innings at 532 for six, thanks to centuries from Sam Constas (109) and Josh Philippe (123 not out). With just one day remaining, the match appears headed for a draw. The two teams will play the second four-day unofficial Test at the Ekana Stadium from September 23 to 26, followed by a three-match ODI series in Kanpur. Dhruv Jurel’s impressive ton was the highlight of another rain-marred day in Lucknow as the first unofficial Test between India A and Australia A is heading towards a draw following the impressive comeback from the hosts.
