Lucknow : The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur at Vidhan Bhawan, Lucknow. Governor Anandiben Patel hoisted the national flag, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, and other dignitaries.
Students from educational institutions also took part in the parade, Lucknow. The brass band of Uttar Pradesh Sainik School and students from St Joseph College, Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and other government and private schools participated. Performances included a theme presentation titled ‘Shikshit Betiyan’ by CMS Aliganj and a band performance by CMS Gomtinagar.

The ceremony began with a flower shower from a helicopter, setting a patriotic tone. The national anthem was played, followed by a parade featuring contingents from the Indian Army, Uttar Pradesh Police, Home Guards, PAC, and NCC cadets. A contingent from Haryana Police also participated, marking inter-state cooperation.
Cultural performances by students and artists from nine states – Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Bihar, Sikkim, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh – showcased India’s rich heritage under the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ theme.
Tableaus depicting ‘Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh’ highlighted tourism, public welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, and cultural heritage. The event concluded with the Governor and CM releasing tricolour balloons
