UP T20 League Season 4, 2026: Committees Formed for Smooth Conduct of Tournament this year

Lucknow : With the 4th season of the UP T20, 2026 League set to begin soon, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has constituted a number of committees to ensure the smooth, systematic and successful conduct of the tournament. The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has announced that the fourth edition of the UP T20 League will commence on August 14 at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, with the grand final scheduled for September 6 at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur. Designed to provide a high-quality platform for emerging cricketers, the tournament aims to deliver an IPL-style experience for players and fans alike.

Several key panels, including the Organizing Committee, Reception Committee, Medical Committee, Hospitality Committee, Ground and Pitch Committee, Media Committee, Anti-Corruption Committee, Senior Advisory Committee and Talent Search Committee, have been formed. The committees will oversee different aspects of the league, from match-day operations and player welfare to media coordination, hospitality and talent identification.

Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, Chairman of the UP T20 League 2026 Governing Council, said the formation of the committees would clearly define responsibilities at different levels and help ensure better coordination throughout the tournament. He said the committees would play an important role in managing every aspect of the league, including arrangements for players, officials, guests, media personnel and spectators.

Organizing and Reception Committees……..

The Organizing Committee includes Sunil Joshan (Agra), BD Shukla (Mainpuri), Mohanlal Agarwal (Farrukhabad), Faisal Sherwani (Aligarh), Aziz Khan (Sonbhadra), Anand Pathak (Shahjahanpur), Shashwat Singh (Ghazipur), Asad Ahmed (Sultanpur) and Sanjay Tiwari (Kanpur). The Reception Committee comprises Sanjeev Kumar Singh (Ghazipur), Rajesh Sehgal (Agra), CA Javed (Barabanki), Siddharth Singh (Jaunpur), Latifur Rahman (Saharanpur) and Shivam Tripathi.

Medical and Hospitality Arrangements…………..

The Medical Committee will be handled by Dr. Manish Chauhan (Raebareli) and Dr. Umar Mustafa Hasan (Prayagraj). The Hospitality Committee includes Sanjeev Kumar Singh (Ghazipur), JP Singh (Azamgarh), Kamal Chawla (Mathura) and Saksham Mishra (Jhansi), who will oversee hospitality-related arrangements during the league.

Ground, Media and Anti-Corruption Committees………

The responsibility for ground and pitch-related arrangements has been entrusted to Manoj Pundir (Muzaffarnagar) and SN Singh (Kanpur).

The Media Committee comprises Mohammad Faheem ji(Raebareli), Ahmed Ali Khan ‘Talib’ ji (Kanpur) and Fasahat Ali (Aligarh). The committee will coordinate media-related activities and facilitate coverage of the tournament.

Nagendra has been included in the Anti-Corruption Committee, which will be responsible for matters related to maintaining integrity and ensuring adherence to anti-corruption guidelines during the competition.

Senior Advisory and Talent Search Committees

The Senior Advisory Committee features Riyasat Ali (Fatehpur), GN Tiwari (Gorakhpur), Sita Ram Saxena (Bareilly), Ishrat Mahmood Khan (Bahraich), Pradeep Kumar Gupta (Firozabad), Arvind Srivastava (Unnao), Shyam Babu (Jalaun), Khaliq M. Khan (Lucknow), Vijay Gupta (Moradabad), Javed Akhtar (Varanasi) and Tahir Hasan (Prayagraj).

Meanwhile, the Talent Search Committee includes Gopal Sharma (Kanpur), Praveen Kumar (Meerut), Shashikant Khandekar (Kanpur), Rahul Sapru (Kanpur) and Rizwan Shamshad (Aligarh). The committee will focus on identifying and nurturing emerging cricketing talent from across Uttar Pradesh.

The formation of the committees is expected to strengthen the organizational framework of the UP T20 League and ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders as the tournament enters its fourth season.
