Kanpur: The excitement surrounding the UP T20 League is set to return to Kanpur after a 2-year gap, with the tournament’s second phase scheduled to begin at Green Park Stadium on August 28. Preparations for the much-awaited matches are now in their final stages. Following the conclusion of the 1st phase at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, all six participating teams—Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Kashi, Noida, Lucknow, and Meerut—are making their way to Kanpur. The Lucknow and Meerut teams are scheduled to arrive on August 26, while the Kashi, Gorakhpur, Noida, and Kanpur teams will reach the city on August 27.
The opening match of the second phase will be a day-night encounter between Kashi and Noida on August 28 at 7:30 PM at Green Park Stadium.

The second phase has already generated considerable excitement among cricket fans. Offline ticket sales began on Monday at six locations across Kanpur, including the Green Park Stadium box office. Large crowds, particularly young cricket enthusiasts, were seen waiting at Batu Telecom in Lajpat Nagar.
UPCA Secretary Prem Manohar Gupta inaugurated the ticket sales at the Lajpat Nagar outlet. He said that 12 matches will be played at Green Park between August 28 and September 6.
